Mwenyezi Mungu hana mwana yeyote, wala hanaye mungu mwengine. Ingekuwa hivyo basi kila mungu angeli chukua alivyo umba, na baadhi yao wangeli washinda wengine. Mwenyezi Mungu ameepukana na sifa wanazo msifu.
Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe [concerning Him]. (Qur'an 23:91)
Beautified for those who disbelieve is the life of this world, and they ridicule those who believe. But those who fear Allah are above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account.(Qur'an 2:212)
Ibn Abi 'Umar alisema: "Sufyan bin 'Uyainah alisema: "Hii ndio hadithi bora aliyo hadithia Ath-Thawri."
Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin Ya'mar: that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said: "The Hajj is 'Arafat, the Hajj is 'Arafat, the Hajj is 'Arafat. The days of Mina are three: But whoever hastens to leave in two days, there is no sin on him, and whoever stays on, there is no sin on him (2:203). And whoever sees (attends) the 'Arafah before the rising of Fajr, then he has performed the Hajj." Ibn Abi 'Umar said: "Sufyan bin 'Uyainah said: 'This is the best Hadith that Ath-Thawri reported.'"
Unfortunately, this is the world we live in today. Where people have to leave their homes, their communities and their comforts just to survive. Whether it is caused by conflict,
or by environmental conditions.
So lets aspire to be like Nabii Ibrahim (A.S), where he ordered a fat calf to be roasted to welcome his guests, or Nabii Lut (AS) where he rushed to protect the strangers coming to his town, and make our fellow mankind feel welcomed.
Mtume alisema, "Yeyote atakaye amka usiku na kusema:
'La ilaha il-lallah Wahdahu la Sharika lahu Lahu-lmulk, waLahu-l-hamd
wahuwa 'ala kullishai'in Qadir.
Alafu akasema: Allahumma, Ighfir li (Ya Allah! Nisamahe). The Prophet said, "Whoever gets up at night and says:
'La ilaha il-lallah Wahdahu la Sharika lahu Lahu-lmulk, waLahu-l-hamd wahuwa 'ala kullishai'in Qadir. Al hamdu lil-lahi wa subhanal-lahi wa la-ilaha il-lal-lah wa-l-lahu akbar wa la hawla Wala Quwata il-la-bil-lah.'
(None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. He is the Only One and has no partners . For Him is the Kingdom and all the praises are due for Him. He is Omnipotent. All the praises are for Allah. All the gloriesare for Allah. And none has the right to be worshiped but Allah, And Allah is Great And there is neither Might nor Power Except with Allah).
And then says: Allahumma, Ighfir li (O Allah! Forgive me). Or invokes (Allah), he will be responded to and if he performs ablution (and prays), his prayer will be accepted."
Hatauingia ila mwovu kabisa!
Naye atakuja ridhika!
What basic islamic foundation are you teaching your kids? Do they go to a Madrasa? Are you teaching them yourself? or do you have a teacher come home to teach them? A child like this no matter what he ends up being as an adult will never forget his foundation.
This was beautiful and May Allah bless and protect him, his family, his community and the orphanage sponsors for raising such a beautiful soul in this life and the hearafter.
Mola wenu anajua kabisa yaliyo nyoyoni mwenu. Ikiwa nyinyi mtakuwa wema, basi hakika Yeye ni Mwenye kuwaghufiria wanao tubia kwake.
Your Lord knows best what is in your inner-selves. If you are righteous, then, verily, He is Ever Most Forgiving to those who turn unto Him again and again in obedience, and in repentance. (Qur'an 17:25)
Hello Friday! Alhamdullilah!
Aya za Leo zimetoka kwenye Surat Al-Fiil- Tembo (The Elephant)
Kwani hukuona jinsi Mola wako Mlezi alivyo watenda wale wenye tembo? Kwani hakujaalia vitimbi vyao kuharibika?
Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) not seen how your Lord dealt with the Owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka'bah at Makkah]. Did He not make their plot go astray? And He sent against them birds in flocks, Striking them with stones of Sijjil. And made them like an empty field of stalks (of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle).
Perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) from mid-day till the darkness of the night (i.e. the Zuhr, 'Asr, Maghrib, and 'Isha' prayers), and recite the Quran in the early dawn (i.e. the morning prayer). Verily, the recitation of the Quran in the early dawn is ever witnessed (attended by the angels in charge of mankind of the day and the night). (Qur'an 17:78)
Mola wetu Mlezi! Hakika Wewe ni Mpole na Mwenye kurehemu.
And [there is a share for] those who came after them, saying, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded
us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who
have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful." (Qur'an 59:10)
Hakika Waumini ni wale ambao anapo tajwa Mwenyezi Mungu nyoyo zao hujaa
khofu, na wanapo somewa Aya zake huwazidisha Imani, na wakamtegemea Mola
wao Mlezi.
The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely. The ones who establish prayer, and from what We have provided them, they spend.
Happy First Friday of Ramadhan. Hang in there, it gets better!
So it was brought to my attention that a lot of Muslims don't seem to have a good understanding of why they fast or they don't know how to respond to this question when asked. So, I thought this posed for a good topic to write about, since Ramadhan is right around the corner. - This time around, its here now!
Really, Why do we fast?
Wanna guess what is the number one answer that people give? Have you ever heard God wanted us to fast so we can feel how poor people feel? Sounds nice right? but that's not the main reason, we are just more humbled after going through a fast and we appreciate food more and think of those that don't have it. So then what is the real reason? Lets look at what the Qur'an tells us. O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint.-Qur'an Chapter 2 verse 183. [Fasting for] a limited number of days. So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] - then an equal number of days [are to be made up]. And upon those who are able [to fast, but with hardship] - a ransom [as substitute] of feeding a poor person [each day]. And whoever volunteers excess - it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew. - Qur'an Chapter 2 verse 184.
Yusuf Ali uses the word self-restraint in his translation, but Sahih International uses the word righteous. According to the free dictionary, righteous is an adjective used to define a person as being Morally upright; without guilt or sin. The Qur'an tells us the criteria to be righteous and what you need to restrain yourself from. The verses are provided on Chapter 2 from verse 2-5. This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah,Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, and who believe in what has been revealed to you[O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. Doesn't this sound like the six pillars of Iman, mixed with the five pillars of Islam? We first need to understand that we are not the only faith that fasts, as you can see it was prescribed to people before us. It is a form of medicine to bring us closer to Allah. When you fast, you restrain yourself from satisfying your body from eating, gossiping, fighting, negativity and sex (with your married partners of cause). Your soul takes control and makes you not only more conscious of Allah, but it also opens you up to see other things that you didn't notice before. You become more aware of your surroundings, as your senses of sight, smell, taste, sound and touch are heightened. The feeling of hunger pains, remind you of your obligation to fulfill the 3rd pillar of Islam, which is Zakkat (charity). You start thinking of the person who's stove wasn't turned on that evening, how did they survive the night, and how will they survive the day? In other words, we become God's representatives on earth, by looking out for one another and taking care of all of his creations as we were meant to be. Again, why do we fast? We fast for Allah, by fulfilling a command prescribed to us in order to learn self restraint and be righteous human beings. Fasting helps us come closer to God, as we try to emulate some of his characteristics by being the vicegerent we were designed to be. This guarantees a joyous meeting with our Most Merciful Lord of the Worlds on the day of judgement.
Ramadhan Kareem everyone! May we all get Closer to Allah this Ramadhan and may he grant our wishes and forgive our sins as he is the Most Merciful and always forgives.
